RAV-2 Flight 7 - 5/7/2023

E12-0, E12-6. First test as a 2-stage rocket using a homemade booster. Staging went perfectly. ACE opened at apogee with JLCR set for 300' on a 36" Mylar chute. With JLCR in tow, rocket came down nose-first at a high velocity. Upon Chute Release, the jolt snapped the hatch off the ACE unit, causing the rocket to lawn dart in. Most items can be repaired. The only casualty was the on-board camera, which we were able to recover some of the flight footage.

Alpha III Flight 15 - 4/15/2023

C6-5. Shock cord separated at ejection. Rocket was found within minutes of landing, however, the parachute flew off with the shock cord, nose cone, and Flight Sketch Mini attached. Several search attempts were made, but I never gave up. On May 4, 2023, I took my wife out with me and we searched for an hour. She found it laying out in the open. Everything but the shock cord was in great shape. Upon arriving back home, I put a new battery in the FS Mini and was able to download the data. DON'T EVER GIVE UP!!!!
